This is a different Ambroise wine than we usually opt for, however, the immediacy of this wine caught us off-guard, and left us no choice! Clearly the product of a good year, the wine jumps out of the glass with aromas of ripe and dried cherry, plum, and the characteristic Côte de Nuits spice. At the moment the wine is a pretty intense drink – Ambroise is well known for making a chewy style of Pinot and it would need a decant. In a couple of years however, the wine will have softened and will be moving towards its peak.
